Kevin de Oliveira (Duque de Caxias, December 5, 1997), better known by his stage name Kevin Chris, is a Brazilian carioca funk singer, known as one of the main representatives of the 150 BPM strand. Kevin started his career in the world of funk in 2014 as a party DJ in the city of Duque de Caxias, where he was born and raised, adopting the stage name of DJ Kevin and working in duet with DJ Davizinho. The nickname came from Kevin and Davizinho's resemblance to the characters Chris and Greg in the series Everybody Hates Chris, Kevin being called "Kevin the Chris" (name he still adopts) and Davizinho called "Davizinho Greg" "(also used by him today). In 2018, Kevin Chris became one of the main artists of the carioca funk strand known as "funk 150 BPM", consisting of faster beats than the traditional ones, and the party "Baile da Caiola", originating from Complexo da Penha . One of his first hits was the song "Inside the Car", which used the sample of "The Day Tripper" by the English band The Beatles, and was released as a single on the last day of 2018.
